Known as one of the ‘Big Three’, (Glassdrumman G30, Drumuckavall, and Creevekeeran), the three watchtower posts were all located in very close proximity to each other. Once again I am looking at all the different shapes and designs of the many security barricades that the army had to protect the watchtower structures and highlighting certain structural pieces in magenta. These initial six pieces use only two oil paint colours, Paynes Grey and Magenta.
Each piece is hand painted in oils on Hahnemuhle oil paper (unless otherwise stated) and signed on the back by the artist. I have included an interior wall design pic and although is not to scale (slightly larger than the original) it will give you an idea.
